I’ve always been a coach. There was never a time when I wasn’t coaching a friend, family member or coworker. Some of them understandably greeted my help with an eye-roll and a sigh, but it was obvious from an early age that, one way or another, I intended to make a positive impact.
Growing up in rural Northern California, I had the privilege of experiencing one of those “old-fashioned” childhoods, complete with bicycles, tree forts, skinned knees, and mud fights. My mom was an educator, a hard worker - she insisted that I get an education and experience the world. So that's what I did. I think she might have expected my path to be more conventional, but the conventional path has never been the one I tend to take.
I love my life. I've had a ton of amazing adventures and I plan to have a whole bunch more. But my favorite adventure is feeling like I’m doing something productive by helping others to enjoy their lives too. It’s hard work getting to this place. It takes time. It takes commitment...
